paint thinner is a solvent used to thin oil-based paints or clean up after their use.

In paints, these solvents dissolve or disperse the components used in the paint formulation, to make paint the desired consistency for application and to avoid clumps or globs.

Paints known as varnishes contain a solid binder dissolved in an Ethanol based solvent and are dried out as a result of its evaporation. They are widely used as materials for covering surfaces for decorative and protective purposes.

Varnishes also have the ability to quickly cure in a very wide temperature range. These solvents used are for Polish or coating and even used as Diluent.
